These products are made of monocrystalline diamond. They
are employed for producing the highest quality surface finish
on workpieces made of white or nonferrous metals or plastics.
SYNCUT-D and SYNCUT-CB are superhard cutting materials consisting
of crystalographically unidirected diamond or CBN crystals
on a hard metal substrate.
SYNCUT-D and SYNCUT-CB enable exceptional cutting power in
the maximum range achievable with today's generation of machine
tools.
These properties are the reason why SYNCUT-D and SYNCUT-CB
are used to substitute for conventional hard cutting materials
such as hard metals, ceramic inserts or monocrystalline cutting
edges made of natural diamond when machining nonferrous materials.

SYNCUT-D and SYNCUT-CB cutting tools can be used either with
or without cooling lubricants.
It is, however, preferable to use cooling lubricants, since
they reduce frictional force and promote chip flow. This enhances
the workpiece surface finish and prolongs the life of the
cutting edge.
Water-soluble oils like the ones used with hard metal tools
yield especially good results when used as cooling lubricants.
