The tolerance of the diamond grain size is extremely important
for the machining result. This parameter is evaluated based
on the variation range relative to the average grain size
(nominal grain size).
Even small quantities of grains deviating below the average
grain size may lead to an "unproductive" fine portion,
thus resulting in deeply-cut areas with an undesirable surface
roughness caused by oversized grains.
In order to achieve technically and economically optimized
machining results and make them reproducible, state-of-the-art
technologies with integrated measuring and gauging stations,
e.g. a scanning electron microscope featuring electrical image
analysis, must be employed to fractionate the individual grain
size classes.
We guarantee that the undersized and oversized grains will
not exceed max. 3% of the specified variation range.
